Genesis Breyer P-Orridge

(born 22 February 1950)

English singer-songwriter, musician, poet, performance artist, and occultist.

P-Orridge rose to notability as the founder of the COUM Transmissions artistic collective and frontman of Throbbing Gristle. They were also a founding member of Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth occult group, and fronted the experimental band Psychic TV.

P-Orridge identifies as third gender.

THE LIVING THEATRE

THE LIVING THEATRE

is an American theatre company founded in 1947 and based in New York City.

It is the oldest experimental theatre group in the United States.

For most of its history it was led by its founders, actress Judith Malina and painter/poet Julian Beck;

after Beck's death in 1985, company member Hanon Reznikov became co-director with Malina.

After Malina's death in 2015, her responsibilities were taken over by the anarchist company.

From its conception,

The Living Theatre was dedicated to transforming the organization of power within society from a competitive, hierarchical structure to cooperative and communal expression.

The troupe attempts to do so by counteracting complacency in the audience through direct spectacle. They oppose the commercial orientation of Broadway productions and have contributed to the

off-Broadway theater movement in New York City, staging poetic dramas.

The primary text for The Living Theatre is The Theatre and its Double,

an anthology of essays written by Antonin Artaud, the French playwright.

It was published in France in 1937 and by the Grove Press in the U.S. in 1958.

This work deeply influenced Julian Beck, a bisexual painter of abstract expressionist works. The troupe reflects Artaud's influence by staging multimedia plays designed to exhibit his metaphysical

Theatre of Cruelty.

In these performances, the actors attempt to dissolve the "fourth wall" between them and the spectators.

Seven Meditations was written after Malina and members of the company were imprisoned-and some tortured-by the Médici dictatorship in Brazil in 1973. Considered one of the company's most significant pieces, the play explores Sacher-Masoch's Six Houses of Bondage: Love, Money, Property, State, War and Death, with a seventh meditation on Revolutionary Change."

As the US becomes increasingly disillusioned and mired in the election process, with thousands of votes swallowed in the system, with government power based on hate, war mongering and corporate influence, mass murders prompted by bigotry and fear, a flood of refugees from countries the US has destabilized through war, we choose this time to travel through America to offer another story.

STRAWBERRY FULL MOON

TONIGHT WILL BE A RARE EVENT....

Today is summer solstice, tonite a full moon. they’re both special, and when they just so happen to occur on the same day, as they will this year- this is once-in-a-lifetime special.

The 2016 North American summer solstice happens on June 20, 2016 at 6:34 PM EDT. That’s the very moment when, essentially, the sun stands still at its northernmost point as seen from Earth. Its zenith doesn’t yearn north or south, but waits patiently at the Tropic of Cancer before switching directions and heading south again.

It’s the day of the year with the most sunlight, the grand dame of long summer days. Even though technically it is only the first day of summer, it may actually be the best one of all. New York City will have 15.05 hours of daytime.

The summer solstice alone is iconic enough. It’s a day with a time-honored history rife with pagan celebrations and all things Stonehenge. But this year we get the big beautiful bonus of a full moon, which hits its peak on the same day. This hasn’t happened in 70 years.

Meanwhile, the June moon was known as the Strawberry Moon to early Native American tribes, who measured time by things like the moon, rather than a grid on a piece of paper or an electronic device. The full moon that happened now marked the season of strawberries – as it still does. More and more people have started harkening back to these more-seasonal full moon names; it's a lovely practice.

June: Full Strawberry Moon While most moons varied by name from tribe to tribe, June’s Full Strawberry Moon was universal amongst all of them. Strawberry harvest was relatively short and widely revered.

I'M NOT GONNA MISS YOU

Legendary singer and songwriter Glen Campbell has been battling Alzheimer’s disease for years, and is now in the final stages of the disease. Campbell has been moved to 24-hour care, as his doctors have determined that he is in the sixth stage of Alzheimer’s (‘severe cognitive decline”).

It has been nearly two years since Campbell has performed in public — however, as a farewell to his music career, Campbell’s record label has released his final studio recording.

His final ballad is called “I’m Not Gonna Miss You.” The melody is somber and contemplative, but the lyrics show Campbell’s ability to find irony in his disease.

I dedicate this song to my mum- BEE~ who has lived with alzheimer's for over

13 years now and still going strong. i love you bee.

UNCLE BOB, (2011), Robert Oppel's documentary about the life and murder of his uncle & namesake, Robert Opel; the man who streaked the Academy Awards in 1974, started off as a speech writer for ronald reagan. Disenchanted with the party, ROBERT OPEL became an activist, anarchist, nudist, (he ran for president as a nudist against nixon) and provocateur. Robert worked as a freelance photographer for the advocate and drummer magazine, editor of the notorious finger magazine and the hollywood star.

in 1978 robert re~envented himself, moved to san francisco and opened the first homoerotic/fetish art gallery called~ FEY WAY STUDIOS. for one golden year robert & fey way presented the most original erotic artists of the era.

THE RING OF FIRE

For one night, millions of eyes look up to the 'Ring of Fire.'

Millions around the world are set to watch the annular solar eclipse, in which the moon passes in front of the sun leaving only a golden ring around its edges, which will be visible to wide areas across Asia Monday morning, parts of the western United States and even some parts of Mexico will catch a glimpse.
