For nearly Forty years I have creating photography depicting queer community and sensibility.
When I started off, there was little public space that allowed for such imagery.
I was continuously confronted with overt censorship. Gradually repressions lifted as acceptance was generated through younger people eager to embrace inclusivity with no hang ups about gender & sexuality. Unfortunately we find ourselves once again back in a repressive era.
Something I never thought I would have to relive. I will continue to create bold photographic images that push against hypocrisy and promote GLBTQ communities fighting to retain their civil rights".
