The Queer Biennial is an international survey focusing on current moments in out/queer/LGBT art and culture that showcases emerging, mid-career, and established artists. Featured work includes installation, film, live performance, and historical documentation. The Queer Biennial is an ARTIST-RUN COLLECTIVE founded in 2012 firmly planted here in Los Angeles, with satellite cities around the world. Venues for the fourth iteration in Los Angeles from May- July 2020 include: Ace Hotel, Arruyar, Last Projects, Lethal Amounts, Lisa Derrick Fine Art, NAVEL, One Archives and the Tom of Finland Foundation.

B.I.N. is a program, run by members of the leather community, dedicated to protecting, supporting and helping those individuals who have contributed to the well being of our great Los Angeles leather community. 

We act by organizing events with other groups to raise funds, to help the person or people in need.

Hector has been fighting Cancer for the last 3 years with a great success, until recently, when his cancer returned, putting him in a place where he is not able to work for the next year.

We are stepping up and taking action.

UTA's "United Voices" rally, which will supplant the agency's annual Oscar party this year.

Jodie Foster, Michael J. Fox and Keegan-Michael Key

was attacked on The Red Line and sustained a leg injury.

 Due to that Castro has been out of commission and has not been able to work. 

 However the amazing people over at The Tom Of Finland Foundation are putting on a 

special benefit to help Rick tomorrow, February 27th, at Faultline on Melrose from 9PM until 2AM.

MIX NYC to Auction Original Undeveloped Photographs by Celebrities in Film, Television, Music, Performance, Fashion & More

April 8, 2014 (New York) — MIX NYC, the nonprofit media arts organization behind the annual New York Queer Experimental Film Festival, is partnering with major celebrities in film, television, music, fashion and the arts in the The Naked Eye Celebrity Camera Auction. Undeveloped disposable cameras filled with tantalizing and exclusive candid images taken by celebrities will be available for bidding worldwide via eBay on May 12, 2014, with a blockbuster launch party to follow in New York City on May 15. Proceeds will benefit MIX NYC’s ongoing programs to promote, preserve, and produce queer experimental film.

Over 100 celebrities have contributed their unseen selfies and real-life photos including the likes of James Franco, Lea DeLaria, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Julie Bowen, Michael Cera, Catherine Opie, Amy Sedaris, Mink Stole, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Hilton Als, Buck Angel, Betty Buckley, Christian Coulson, Parker Posey, the cast of Bob’s Burgers, Justin Vivian Bond, Le1f, Terence Koh, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Sally Jessy Raphael,  Rick Castro, Jake Shears and numerous others. Collectors, fans and friends will have the opportunity to bid on and be the first to see images created just for them by their favorite celebrities.

The cameras themselves are being auctioned “naked,” i.e. with undeveloped negatives included, giving fans a unique opportunity to own original, one-of-a-kind photographic artworks. Celebrity partners have been encouraged to have fun and create candid and surprising images that reflect their real lives. With top actors, comedians, musicians, drag queens and even porn stars participating, there truly are images to appeal to all types.

A kick-off party emceed by Ru Paul’s Drag Race superstar Alaska Thunderfuck will celebrate the Naked Eye on May 15th at New York City’s famed downtown venue The Slipper Room, described by the New York Times as “a beacon in the New York burlesque scene.” The party will feature live performances, fantastic prizes, and VIP experiences.
