DEMS HOLD A SIT IN ON THE HOUSE FLOOR
the dems finally show some power and demand a vote on a bill, any bill... that addresses new guns laws. lead by rep john lewis, (who marched alongside MLK) with approx. 30 fellow dems- they gave passionate speeches followed by a sit- in! we have seen this since the 60s,,,, fool speaker of the house- paul ryan did everything he could to ignore dems and acted like business as usual. at one point he ordered dems to be arrested.. that didn't happen. then he had the cameras shut off, so the dems took to twitter and periscope to continue a live feed. he then had the air-conditioning turned off, and perhaps the lights. the sit-in went on for 10 hours. meanwhile a bigger protest took place outside the white house lead by former speaker- nancy pelosi with hundreds of citizens in support of the dam sit-in. elizabeth warren brought doughnuts. bernnie sanders stood by.... unfortunately this did nothing. and repubs still refuse to pass any gun bills what-so-ever.
