according to lauren, bernie had Lymphoma, " I found enlarged lymph glands in late march. we knew she only had a couple of months, she lived a whole month longer that we'd expected, so it was plenty of time to acclimate and say goodbye.
I took her up to the farm for a nice dirt nap out on the back 40 where she loved to roam.
