Alexandra Leh Just got it from our security guards: a transient had been living in a room for a couple of days without the hotel staff's knowledge...and turned up dead this afternoon.
- Alexandra Leh Additional detail: when the guards pounded on his door, he took a dive from the 9th floor into the lightwell. *Then* he turned up dead.

- Alexandra Leh I've lived here 10 years, and this has to be the 40th suicide jump I've heard about...including the one I witnessed in 2011, when a man jumped from the Hayward, smashed into the ground and was immediately run over by a bus. When the cop asked me for a statement, he said, "This part of town is Suicide Central."
