27 years living as an out gay man experiencing years of judgement, hatred, homophobia, bigotry. Coming out in my teens in Charlotte, NC, with family deeper south in the Bible Belt, landing for a decade in San Francisco during the AIDS crisis with so many dying and suffering around me, then finding my way to a beautiful, healthy, passionate life here in Los Angeles.... I've traveled and worked in 37 countries....some of which I could have been killed or arrested for who I am, while others welcomed me with open hearts and minds. And now, today in America it is a new day for all of us. Thank you.
