"Tennessee" Williams III (March 26, 1911 – February 25, 1983)
was an American playwright and author of many stage classics. He is considered among the foremost playwrights in 20th century American drama. Just a few of his written masterpieces include~
"streetcar named desire". cat on a hot tin roof" the glass menagerie," suddenly last summer, one arm and "desire & the black masseur".
After some early attempts at heterosexual relationships, by the late 1930s Williams had accepted his homosexuality. In New York he joined a gay social circle which included many fellow homosexual writers, actors & artists~ the best of the 20th century.
