TIGER ROSE was a japanese/punk influenced shop on melrose ave
& gower st. circa 1978.
the proprietors were michael saguaro & his wife
who has since passed away.
i worked as a sales person during 78/79 and also designed clothing for the shop with
fabrics they imported from japan.
the shop was one of the first punk aesthetic businesses in los angeles.
this photo is my longtime pal- roy johns & one of his dancers~ circa 1978.
