HEY WOW, PRESS!

LAKERS? WHAT LAKERS? THE HOLLYWOOD ART & CULTURE WALK IS TONIGHT TOO
By Erin Weinger on June 17, 2010

It isn’t hard to find fetishists along Hollywood Boulevard, although they are usually of the variety that burn your eyes and leave you mentally scarred.

But tonight is finally your chance to catch some Hollywood kinkiness that is actually cool, with fetish art gallery Antebellum participating the the very first Hollywood Art and Culture Walk, which features the merchants in the up-and-coming shopping district of Las Palmas and Cherokee Avenues.

The gallery itself will be hosting a plaster cast demonstration with artist Barry Morse, based on a, uh, past piece called “Pickle Surprise.” (Use your imagination to guess the surprise.) But a lot of tamer, fashionable festivities abound as well. Including knitting lessons and a 75 percent-off sale at Artstring and the unveiling of artist Landon Wiggs‘ limited-edition T-shirts at Scout. And if you have yet to check out Cerre, the awesome leathersmiths we’ve written about here multiple times before, tonight is the night.

Tonight, 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., 1600 block of Las Palmas and Cherokee Avenues, Los Angeles.

$5 parking available at the Classic parking lot on Las Palmas Ave, (west side).
