maybe because i'm now back in LA, or maybe because, "keister" is approaching, (my least favorite holiday) i am reminded of the 6 scariest movie scenes of all times-

THE SHINNING- "HERE'S JOHNNY"
(1980- Jack Torrance sticking his head through the axe-hewn hole in the bathroom door, leeringly saying, "Here's Johnny," has become one of the most well-known parodies)


PSYCHO- SHOWER SCENE
(1960- The film's pivotal scene, and one of the most famous scenes in cinema history, is the murder of Janet Leigh's character in the shower)


THE EXORCIST- CRUCIFIX SCENE
1973- Regan, possessed by the demons, commits sacrilege against a crucifix by repeatedly stabbing her vagina with it.


DAMIEN: OMEN ll- DAMIAN IT'S ALL FOR YOU
(1978- journalist Joan Hart tries to warn Richard about grave danger but he throws her out. She then goes to meet Damien at his school but when she sees his face she drives off in panic. On the road, she is attacked by a crow, which pecks her eyes out, causing her to be run over by a passing truck)


THE SENTINEL- WHO ARE YOU?
(1977- The film became controversial when it was revealed the director used actual disfigured people and circus freaks to represent demons during the climax)


ALIEN- OH GOD!
(1979- When the creature burst through the chest a stream of blood shot directly at Veronica Cartwright, shocking her enough that she fell over and went into hysterics)
