The Thirteen Lives of Rick Castro
Legendary photographer Rick Castro will present his first solo exhibition in Mexico on 7, through 11, August, 2024. For this premiere exhibition, Rick has chosen thirteen 8x11” images that represent his historic career, along with three 11x14” images as a prick tease and three gigantic images, because size does matter. To complete the presentation Rick has included four unique “petite relics” in antique frames.

Castro’s photography explores fetish, subculture, BDSM and ritual. He has spent thirty eight years, (and counting) proudly documenting homoerotic lust, desire and longing.
Castro’s maternal grandmother was from Calera de Víctor Rosales, Zacatecas. He has fond memories of visiting the family’s 1850 adobe ranch as a child. He is very eager to visit Santiago de Querétaro and exhibit at Galeria HGZ.
