MY NAME IS PEACHES!
Legendary artist Nina Simone wrote, sang and then screamed this on her classic 1966 album, Wild is the Wind. Completely misunderstood at the time, (as is anything truthful and original) much to Simone's dismay, and despite her intention to highlight the injustice in society and the suffering of African-American people, some, (white) listeners interpreted the song as racist. They believed it drew on black stereotypes, and it was subsequently banned on several major, (white) radio stations.
Recently Postmaster General Louis, “loveless” DeJoy, on the commands of dictator “Karen," removed over six hundred mail sorting machines nationally, closed post offices, removed mailboxes and/or places locks on them in at least sixteen states.
All these blatantly fascist acts of voter suppression are something this country has never seen. Unless of course you’re black. African American communities have been subject to murder, hatred, crimes against humanity, violence, suppression and arbitrary restrictions since arriving on slave ships in 1619.
It is not lost on us “loveless” DeJoy has served as a major donor and fundraiser for Donald Trump. In April 2017, DeJoy was named one of three deputy finance chairmen of the Republican National Committee, along with Trump's lawyer, (now in jail with a tell all book) Michael Cohen and the venture capitalist Elliott Broidy. Side note: As of May 2019, the United States Department of Justice has investigated Broidy's business and political dealings… birds of a feather.
In May 2019, DeJoy became local finance chairman for the planned 2020 Republican National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. This should be a colossal white supremacist shit show. Plans to include NRA gun crazy couple Patricia and Mark McCloskey, and bratty little MAGA Covington KKKatholic school spawn Nick Sandmann who sued The Washington Post for reporting his stand off with a Native American activist Nathan Phillips, as guest note speakers, says all that needs to be said about the devolution of the Republikkkan party. If they call themselves the party of Lincoln one more time, I swear I will snap their heads off.
Oh! I forgot to tell you, “loveless” Dejoy’s wife, Aldona Wos, is the pending new ambassador to Canada. Her nomination is currently on review before the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. I can’t wait to watch the interaction with this mistress of white nationalist darkness and doll face Justin Trudeau.
2020 has hit like a relentless abusive spouse; one blow after another, it’s hard to keep up with all the attacks. Who has time to remember and protest that children are still being rounded up and detained in cages. These concentration camps are sometimes housed in former Walmart buildings who’s community couldn’t or wouldn’t support. If it was California they would’ve become Out of the Closet thrift shops, but since they’re in Texas, Arizona or some other godforsaken red state, they’ve become concentration camps. These camps are privately run, yet paid for by the tax payer. How is this possible? When you’re living under the rise of totalitarianism, anything is possible. The concentration camps are in working order. They are fully staffed with “loyalists,” and funded by YOU! It’s just a matter of time before they are inhabited by American citizens. If you think I’m exaggerating, you don’t know your history.
Perhaps the only difference is in the 21st century; you will be charged room and board.
Middle class white’s don’t see the hammer coming down hard and fast on all civil rights, because they are not used to being subjected to discrimination and overly abuse by the powers that be, the way ALL people of color are and understand what actually is “the American way.” We are all traumatized and abused under Trumpworld and his heinous attack on all United States citizens.
