boardner's bar, located @ 1652 n cherokee ave, is a hollywood legend. open since 1942, boardner's has been a watering hole for such luminaries as robert mitchum, charles bukowski, orson wells and elizabeth short, aka the black dahila. check out the famous scene from ED WOOD~
you can also see MUSSO & FRANK in the background.
BTW, BOARDNER'S also has the best happy hour, (daily, 5-8pm), in hollywood and is located one block east of ANTEBELLUM GALLERY!
