VANESSA GAY- CONTINUOUSLY RAPED

.... ONCE BY SERIAL KILLER- ANTHONY SOWELL, THEN BY THE POLICE AND JUDICIAL SYSTEM, AND THEN IN COURT.

this is the reason, (my opinion of course) that prostitution, should be legalized.
so these women will be treated fairly when a crime is committed against them.
WARNING- this testimony is very intense and hard to take..
i would like to hear comments from the people that are able to get thru it.

CHELSEA HOTEL CLOSES AS A HOTEL!

rock & roll/punk/art/alternative hotel, the legendary-
CHELSEA HOTEL closed to guest saturday....

Tenants gathered Saturday at an "end of an era" party hosted by Tony Notarberardino, who has lived in the hotel for 17 years.
Saturday night was, by all indications, the last night that the Chelsea Hotel on West 23rd Street would be open to guests, though the duration of the closing, the first in its history, was unknown.

LESBIANS TO THE RESCUE

Married Lesbian Couple Rescued 40 Teens from Norway Massacre

Married lesbians Hege Dalen and Toril Hansen were eating at their campsite when they heard shots and screams across the water. Did they run and hide? No, they're lesbians, so they jumped in their boat and sped toward the slaughter. The women pulled terrified teens from the water and the rocky coast as the insane far-right gunman shot through their vessel. Unfortunately, there were too many youth to fit in the boat. Hege and Toril ferried the group to safety, then hurried back to the massacre, rescuing another boatload. Then they did it yet again. And still again. Altogether in their four trips they saved forty people from the scene where seventy-six died.

The mainstream U.S. media, which loves a hero story almost as much as a tragedy, has been uniformly silent about the lesbian superstars.
well not band of thebesblog and certainly not antebellumblog

HELEN TERRY- BLAST FROM THE PAST

look what i found!
does anyone remember HELEN TERRY?
she was the back-up singer for THE CULTURE CLUB back in the early 80s.
well in the mid 80s she embarked on a solo career. which unfortunately didn't go very far.
back material, management whatever, (she was also an out- big-dyke) but her voice is fantastic.
check out this cheesy music video- NOW YOU'RE MINE, styling and costumes by
ME- RICK CASTRO! circa 1984.
btw- "Now You're Mine" was produced by Giorgio Moroder for the soundtrack to the film, Electric Dreams. check out the cameo of KENNY ORTEGA, (he plays the conman- agent) who is now the world biggest musical producer- (high school musical, michael jackson)
helen terry is now the producer of the annual- BRIT AWARDS.

THAT CERTAIN SUMMER

i was reminded by the 1972 classic- ABC movie of the week-
THAT CERTAIN SUMMER, starring hal holbrook, hope lange, cute as a button-
scott jacoby, and a very young, hot martin sheen, ( charlie's father).

i think i was about 12 years old when i saw it with my parents. we watched in silence. after it was over, we said nothing...
like i imagine thousands of parents did with their not-yet-out- sons.

althought slow and subtle, (that was the era) the acting is perfect, and the commentary as strong today as it was then.
