YOGA INFORMATION

The brain is the cause of stress.
In meditation we are putting aside all that the brain is telling us and we are not thinking any more. There is a reason why Yogis and Gurus came to teach this method of ‘checking out’ as the mind can become obsessed with a few negative thoughts or never stop thinking. One thought leading to the next and the whole life becomes one long thought giving the person a headache called stress.

The yogic methods of dealing with stress are meditation, repetition of mantra, Karma yoga the performing of selfless service and other methods I have mentioned on the site under the 6 paths of Yoga. It is not that you stop doing other things but you approach your whole life of work, family and pleasures from a peaceful yogic manner taking up one of the six paths and incorporating the practices and mentality into all that you do.

To relieve stress the mind need to be focused on other peaceful thoughts and at times not thinking at all. This is difficult at the beginning but once learned never forgotten.- READ MORE-
